About the Designer
GIGIchic was started in 2009 by Gail Carlson to express and share her creative ideas and
designs. These designs are the result of Gail's passion, energy, and drive to create a line of
beautiful accessories that are unique, fun and trendy.
Gail was born into a family with a long history of artists, including sculptors, painters, and
clothing designers. Her designing began at an early age, sketching clothing and accessories.
Not surprisingly, her daughters continue this tradition of artistry, drawing pictures and painting.
Gail's inspirations also come from her experiences and surroundings. She was inspired to
design and create jewelry after years of NYC living. This daily exposure to fashion, couture
and individual street style, was the fabulous beginning of her ideas to form GIGIchic. This
contagious vibe made her want to bring something new and exciting to the streets. She
continues to visit often to capture the energy that exists there, furthering her line of
accessories.
New 2011 Collections
GIGIchic's 2011 Python and Lizard Collection which utilizes exotics and unique hardware, has
been derived from Carlson's surroundings in the Sonoran Desert, where she lives with her
husband and two daughters. The python pieces are unique, edgy, and trendsetting accessories
that are stand alone pieces or can be stacked or layered.
GIGIchic's 2011 Tribal Collection incorporates Ashanti Brass from the Ashanti Tribe in Africa.
These rare African pieces mixed with trade beads, sandalwood, bone and shell create trendy
bohemian accessories worn by celebrities and trendsetting fashionistas everywhere.
As Seen In
GIGIchic's designs can be found in several fabulous boutiques and stores across the US and
internationally. GIGIchic has been recognized by several local and national publications, such
as ELLE, Westin Kierland Magazine, Arizona Foothills Magazine, Coastal Living, InStyle, and
Glamour. We were recently named top Jewelry designer by the readers of Arizona Foothills
Magazine.
